The Alpinestars Tech 5 Boots are engineered for high-performance riding, featuring a durable upper constructed from abrasion-resistant microfiber with an innovative synthetic polymer on the toe box. This material combination provides high water resistance, enhanced durability, and a lightweight profile, ensuring long-term use while maintaining a comfortable fit that is easy to clean and maintain. The redesigned instep and Achilles accordion flex zones, made from lightweight microfiber, deliver superior comfort, control, and support during demanding rides. An advanced polymer core structure contours the upper, offering structural integrity and abrasion resistance while allowing controlled flex for improved mobility during riding. A high modulus polymer shin plate offers excellent impact and abrasion protection, with a contoured design and a Velcro®-adjustable panel for a personalized, secure fit. The medial-facing biomechanical pivot system links the lower and upper parts of the boot, providing both flexibility and structural support for optimal riding dynamics. Both the inward-facing upper and lower panels are crafted from formulated polymers with grip sculpture patterns, maximizing contact with the bike and enhancing abrasion resistance. The rear features a thermoplastic rubber gaiter atop a thermoplastic polyurethane calf protector, delivering additional protection and comfort. The innovative buckle closure system, incorporating polymer, fiberglass, and high-impact aluminum components, ensures durability while reducing weight. This system includes a quick-release/locking mechanism with a self-aligning design for easy, precise closure, improving riding performance and security. All buckles are easily replaceable for convenience. The TPU buckle straps are ergonomically profiled to promote high levels of front flexion. The boots also feature an injected dual compound TPU foot shell with excellent impact and abrasion resistance, reinforced internally by a metal shank and toe co-injection to enhance safety. The exclusive dual compound sole, seamlessly integrated with the multi-density foot base, offers superior durability, grip, and rider feel, and is replaceable. TPU heel patches, connected with the shell and lateral/medial TPU parts, provide added protection and support. Comfort is further enhanced with soft poly-foam padding around the ankles and collar, along with a full interior textile lining. The replaceable anatomical EVA footbed with textile lining adds to the overall comfort and support.
