The ARAI HELMETS Quantum-X Wave Helmet is designed with a unique round oval shape, making it ideal for riders with slightly wider heads. This shape is achieved through an interior headliner that combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, providing a snug and comfortable fit. The shell features the Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC), which uses multiple materials and advanced techniques to deliver a durable yet affordable helmet that meets high-performance standards.

One of the key features of the Quantum-X Wave is the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, which lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm. This design results in a smoother shell surface around the temple area, reducing impact energy transfer and enhancing impact absorption. The VAS latch also ensures the shield stays securely closed, preventing accidental opening while allowing easy, intuitive operation, including a de-mist function for clear visibility in various conditions.

The helmet incorporates QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts to optimize airflow. These ducts provide excellent air intake and exhaust performance during rides, with the side vent acting as an exhaust even when the top shutter is closed. This ventilation system helps regulate temperature and moisture, contributing to rider comfort and helmet integrity during extended use. The water-repellent ES chin cover is pre-installed, improving airflow around the chin area, increasing exhaust, and reducing wind noise, which enhances overall riding experience.

Comfort is further enhanced by the FCS® cheek pads, which are contoured with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring.” This design cradles the face, easing helmet on-and-off while blocking wind noise effectively. The helmet also includes the VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield, compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, which is included, providing anti-fog protection and unobstructed visibility.
