Bedding In Your New Brake Pads

Proper bed-in (burnishing) is essential for maximum performance and pad life. Follow these steps before aggressive riding:

1. 2–3 gradual stops from ~12 MPH — gently drag the brake, do not come to a sudden stop
2. 2–3 medium stops from ~18 MPH — moderate braking force, avoid abrupt stops
3. 2–3 firm stops from ~18 MPH — apply firm pressure just short of locking up

Skipping this step can lead to noise, uneven wear, or reduced performance even with high-quality ceramic pads.
