If your clutch bell has turned blue or has a worn interior the friction plates will not be lasting as long as they should do. If it is out of shape, clutch slip and jerking will also occur. The only remedy to these problems is complete replacement.

To help prevent the aforementioned problems occurring at all on maxi scooters MALOSSI has developed a forged, over-dimensioned steel clutch bell. Due to the tough PO4 steel used in their construction they possess a greatly increased stability at high temperature. The surface is nitrated and the drive cog teeth are produced using carbide steel machined from solid round stock. In their final step of production these MALOSSI clutch bells are fine balanced and counterweighted to guarantee smooth running, whatever the engine speed.
