From factory the OG (14-15) groms headlight runs on AC or alternating current. This is why you see your headlight dim slightly when your RPMs dip down or when idling you may notice it flickering slightly. It is running off your stator. LEDs or HIDs cannot run on AC and it will ruin them and eventually they will no longer work. This adapter will convert your headlight to run on DC or direct current which is supplied from the battery allowing you to run LED or HIDs without any issue. This will not drain your battery in anyway as the power source is a switched source turned on when you turn your key.
